Fun at Grandma & Papa's house

Mom is back to work part-time, so Chase & Leila have been staying with Grandma & Papa for the first couple of weeks. Then Gramma K will be here for a few weeks so Chase will not be starting daycare until the end of September. Leila is still going to Papa's and preschool Monday, Wednesday, & Fridays starting after Labor Day.

Parker's 2nd Birthday

3 Months Old (13 Weeks)

 

Chase has been sleeping 9-10 hours at night for the past week, he's been eating close to every 3 hours during the day, about 4-5 ounces per feeding. He's still spitting/throwing up often but it doesn't seem to bother him much. He's becoming more and more interactive, playing with his toys and responding to people. He smiles & "talks" a lot but has only laughed once in his sleep, we're still waiting to hear it, he's close! He's been starting to play in his bumbo & exersaucer (with padding), and rolls over from his stomach to back, and his back to his side.

This is what I found walking into his room the other morning. No crying, just hanging out, I thought it was pretty funny!

Leila started her "3-year old pre-dance class" today at Destiny Dance. It is every thursday from 10:30-11am. She is modeling the required capezio attire.

Grandma experiences a playdate

New House

Well not really! We decided to do something crazy and move our master bedroom upstairs into the bonus room and the playroom downstairs. That way we'd be closer to the kids and the playroom would be downstairs near the kitchen & livingroom. It has worked out great! Our bedroom is now huge & the playroom is in a great location for Leila while I am tending to Chase during the day. It really feels like we moved into a new house! The only thing to get used to is that our master bathroom is downstairs, but this too, is a good thing because now Pete can shower & get ready in the morning easier without waking us all up. We moved it all last Sunday & since then Chase has been sleeping well in his crib at night, only getting up once to feed around 3am, then he quickly falls back to sleep while burping. So far so good! Here's a view from upstairs......

Friday Night at Shuckers

We sat outside on the patio with live music with some neighborhood friends. Chase & Gabby joined us & both suprisingly behaved the whole time, something about the loud talking & music kept them calm. Leila & some of the other kids went to Granite Falls Parent's Night Out from 5:30-10. We had a great time & decided we need to do this every month!
