Doctors

I thought it would nice for my children to know who their doctors were when they get older.........

Lauren M. Wheeler, M.D.

 Dr. Wheeler earned her undergraduate degree from Villanova University and a Masters degree in Anatomy from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Dr. Wheeler also earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond.  She completed her residency training at the University of Virginia Health System in Charlottesville.  Dr. Wheeler is a board certified OB/GYN specialist and has been a part of Kamm, McKenzie OB/GYN since 2009.

Dr. Privette earned her undergraduate degree from Elizabeth City State University and a Masters degree in Cell Biology from East Carolina University. She also earned her medical degree and completed her residency training at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.  Dr. Privette is a board certified OB/GYN specialist and has been a part of Kamm, McKenzie OB/GYN since 2008.

Performed Chase's abdominal surgery

Dr. David Hoover is a board-certified surgeon with Wake Specialty Physicians - Pediatric Surgery and WakeMed Faculty Physicians - Pediatric Surgery. He brings over 10 years of pediatric surgery experience from Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital in Concord, NC and Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. He is board-certified in general and pediatric surgery as well as critical care. Dr. Hoover most recently held the position of Medical Director at the Jeff Gordon Children's Hospital where he was responsible for growth and management of multidisciplinary pediatric subspecialty practice. Simultaneously, he served as a pediatric surgeon for Carolina Pediatric Surgery. He graduated from Mississippi State University and continued his education at East Carolina University where he attended medical school. Dr. Hoover did his residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC, and he was a Pediatric Surgery Critical Care Fellow and a Pediatric Surgery Fellow at Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL. Since 1994, Dr. Hoover frequents Tenwek Hospital in Kenya, East Africa as a visiting surgeon. In addition, since 1997, he has volunteered as the Young Life's Windy Gap Camp Physician.
